Introduction

This website is dedicated to one of the best multiplayer games in the history of computer games, created by Ozark Softscape in 1983, namely by Dan Bunten, Bill Bunten, Jim Rushing, Alan Watson and Roy Glover.

The effort I spend on this website is my bow before Dan Bunten, honoring his vision of computer games being a means to bring people together instead of being a hobby for lonely geeks. That vision sounds commonplace? Keep in mind that Dan formulated that vision in 1982, which is almost a decade before the internet came by, or multi-player games came to be commonplace...

M.U.L.E. for the IBM PCjr found

General News
Hi there, thanks to the WoM forums I noticed that a new copy of M.U.L.E. for the IBM PCjr has surfaced and sold on eBay, for quite a high price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150402775883. I am posting this message in the hope that the person who bought it would read this and get in contact with me, either using this website or contacting me via email: webmaster at worldofmule dot net. The IBM PCjr version of the game, developed by IBM (!), is incredibly rare, and the only "original" M.U.L.E. game which you can NOT play on an emulator yet because the original disk has not been copied yet to a modern PC file format. It would be a great service to the M.U.L.E. community if that game could be dumped and played on emulators.

Read about the various classic M.U.L.E. versions, including the IBM PCjr. one, here.

Regards and happy planet-mule'ing (you can find me there as "Eidolon"),

Melanie Bunten-Stark informed me about her new website for Ozark Softscape, which is (quote from the site) "devoted to fans who loved the games developed by our dad, Dan Bunten, of Ozark Softscape." Be sure to have a look and leave some nice comments in the guestbook! :-)
